Kara Myles

Technique

  • Body Stress Release (BSR) Practitioner

Kara is a qualified Body Stress Release (BSR) practitioner, having trained in South Africa—the birthplace of this gentle yet powerful technique. She brings a calm and compassionate approach to her practice and is continually inspired by the unique ways each client’s body responds. What Kara loves most about BSR is it is suitable for everyone, from newborns to the elderly, and can benefit people at every stage of life—whether in peak fitness or struggling to move. For her, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing people feel lighter, freer, and more at ease in their own bodies.

Her own journey with BSR began in 2019, when stress and anxiety started showing up physically in her life through hunched shoulders, digestive problem and bladder issues. Despite working as a chartered accountant in a demanding career, she found BSR brought relief. A turning point came when severe wrist pain—persistent for months—was released in a single session. This deepened her belief in the body’s ability to let go of stored tension when supported in the right way.

Inspired by these results, Kara left her corporate career to train in South Africa through an intensive five-month course and apprenticeship. She is passionate about helping others experience the same benefits, and about sharing how BSR—developed in South Africa but now practiced worldwide—can release tension, ease stress, and support long-term wellbeing.
