Nutrition
A warm welcome from me as I invite you to discover the true power of food in transforming your health and wellbeing. I’ve spent my entire professional life immersed in food science and nutrition, beginning with my degree from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh, over 40 years ago. After completing a postgraduate teaching qualification, I enjoyed a rewarding career in education, becoming a Principal Teacher of Food & Nutrition and contributing to national curriculum development and examination standards.
My passion for the impact of nutrition on health led me to retrain, and in 2015 I qualified as a registered Nutritional Therapist from the College of Naturopathic Medicine. For eight years, I combined consultancy with teaching before fully transitioning into practice in June 2023—an exciting decision which is so rewarding to be part of supporting health journeys for my clients. I am an associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine, which allows me to stay updated with the latest research and ensure that the support I offer is grounded in current, evidence-based knowledge.
In my practice, I have extensive experience in supporting clients with a wide range of health and lifestyle concerns. Every plan I create is tailored to the individual—taking into account your current health, goals, lifestyle, and food preferences—to ensure it’s effective, achievable, and above all, enjoyable. I aim to demystify nutrition and help you navigate a confusing food landscape with confidence.
I have additional training in cancer support nutrition, nutrigenomics, and health and wellbeing coaching.
I’m passionate about helping people use food to live more vibrantly. I look forward to working with you—sharing mindful eating strategies and empowering you to make nourishing choices that support your health goals, wellbeing, and any diagnosed medical conditions.
